Why Shanda Ashbrook Walks
Shanda has been part of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® since 2011 and walks in memory of her grandfather, Henry. She saw how the disease destroyed not only his life, but also the lives of his friends and family. She wants to end this disease and works tirelessly each year to help the Alzheimer’s Association take steps towards a world without Alzheimer’s.
Since 2011, Shanda has raised over $12,000 for the cause and has higher goals this year. She is hosting Purse Bingo and a silent auction in June to help raise funds with fun giveaway prizes such as tickets to COSI and a chance to win OSU football game tickets (with the band)!
When not focusing her efforts to end Alzheimer’s, Shanda and her husband, Phil, keep busy with three young sons, Wyatt, Levi and Emmett.
